SAHAKORN SONG POWER TO EASY WIN
At the 3G Oval on 21st November, Sahakorn Song school from Mae On met the Gymkhana Juniors in the Chiang Mai Cricket Schools Alliance U-16 League. Sahakorn won the toss and elected to field. Gymkhana struggled against the quick bowlers and the top five batsman failed to reach double figures. The middle order faired somewhat better with Paiwan and Tor giving some respectability to the score with a 29 run partnership. Gymkhana reached 67 for 7 wickets after their allotted 15 overs, and with six bowlers picking up wickets, Sahakorn produced a good team effort in the field.
In reply, Sahakorn’s top order batsman, who all have experience from last season’s league, found no difficulty in chasing down the target. The openers Formot (Artit Supamoon) and Jam ( Player of the match) both scored maximum twenties before retiring, giving the team the platform to cruise to victory by 10 wickets in the eleventh over, hitting 10 boundaries on the way. Next week Sahakorn face Chol Prathan Prateak at the 3G Oval on Saturday 27th at 10am and will go into the match with confidence sky high.
