Chiang Mai won the toss and decided to bat first, after dominating the previous game they were confident of yet another solid batting display, unfortunately no one apart from wicket keeper Mack got into double figures, Mack scored 15 off 39 balls so really not too convincing, with Ped 9, Song 8 and Seegame 7,
Chiang Mai boys had to rely on the 29 extra's, boosting the score
to a reasonable total.
Disappointing but the boys had to go to work on bowling straight
which they did with Yon 3 over's 1 wicket for 6 and Pong 3 over's 1 wicket for 10 runs, a great start to
tie down the Bangkok batsmen, it was up to the 1st and 2nd change bowlers Song and Ped to keep the pressure on and Ped soon took vital wickets, finishing a great bowling spell with 2 wickets for 7 runs off his 3 over's. All the bowlers did a really god job keeping the runs down and also the extra's, Bangkok finishing on 53 for 5 at the end of the 15th over, Chiang Mai now had plenty to think about for the final against Khon Kaen.
