On the 17th May 2010 the 12 boys attended a new school called Buacrognoi. They were kitted out in their new uniforms and the volunteers organised travel to and from the school,as well as seeing to lunches, stationary and books. The school already has an existing cricket CMSCA program and new practice nets are being built in the wet season and will be ready soon for all the cricketers at the school to concentrate on hardball. The boys have settled in well and their progress at school will be monitered. English teaching at most Thai Government schools falls short of the desired level, and with that in mind the sponsorship organisers felt an improvement in the kid's English would benefit them greatly.
So during July an English tutorial program at the hostel will be set up from another charity which helps under privileged kids, giving our boys the opportunity to improve their English and the chance of obtaining free cricket scholarships at Chiang Mai’s Prem International school and possibly even in England if their cricketing skills eventually reach the right level. A computer/education room has been established at the hostel and more second hand IT equipment is being sought. The kids are also being encouraged to become coaches and have already started to train other children at the hostel. Eventually some of the boys may decide to take the career path as a cricket coach and being able to speak English will mean they can attend Asian Cricket Council coaching courses in the future, now that why cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in Thailand and across Asia..
