Cricket in Lamphun

06/07/2010: Cricket demonstation in Lamphun.

Sankhayon school in Lamphun became the 11th school to join the Chiang Mai junior cricket program, the 3rd school this year. Sankhayon is a senior school and just up the road from Wat Muangkwap so making it a great addition to the jnior cricket program, continuity is now a very important part of our program, in the past too many school have been junior schools so after grade 6 the children have been lost to other sports or maybe no sport at all! For the demonstration we took along with us 2 of our Sponsored boys (Below right) Piwan in the blue shirt and Bonchooai in the lime green shirt, as part of the sponsorship program we are giving all the boys the chance to teach younger children the cricket basics, so not only improving their cricket knowledge but their confidence to communicate. The boys really enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to coming with us again.
