CHIANG MAI U-19 GIRLS v SRISAKET @ AIT 07/01/2011  (GROUP B)

Chiang Mai v Srisaket@ AIT 07/01/2011  (GROUP B)
CHIANGMAI GIRLS QUALIFY FOR THE FINAL
The second group match for Chiang Mai girls proved to be virtually identical to the first fixture against Petchabun in the way the game panned out . Up against Seesaket, Chiang Mai won the toss and elected to field once more, always an advantage at junior level, where bowling dominates proceedings. Once again the opposition made 59 runs, this time for 3 wickets down. To complete the symmetry of the first match, Chiang Mai reached 60-0 in comfortable fashion, winning by 10 wickets. Openers Parn and Anna made 20 and 21 runs respectively, and looked untroubled throughout. Anna’s play was particularly eye-catching, batting with patience and solid technique, a very young player with huge potential. The girls qualified easily for the final without losing a single wicket in the group stage. They face Bangkok, last years champions, at the Thailand Cricket Ground on Saturday 8th January.
